Betty Lou Reeves is a principal in the tax division of the firm and also serves as the Firm's Marketing Director. Betty Lou works closely with individuals and businesses as a business advisor, coordinating financial and tax decisions. Her client relationships include family-owned businesses of all types, retail establishments, medical practices and not-for-profit entities, among others. Betty Lou has edited the Firm's newsletter, Financial Perspectives, since first published in 1983. Her experience in the human resource area makes her a valuable source for information regarding fringe benefits, retirement plans and payroll issues. Betty Lou has presented a number of informative financial programs on topics such as Cash Flow Management, Income Taxes and Elder Care issues.
Memphis, Tennessee is Betty Lou's hometown, and the University of Memphis is her alma mater. Betty Lou and her husband Rodger make their home in Brandon and have three grown children, Michael, Laurie and Andy and five grand children. Betty Lou is past chairman of the Metro Jackson YMCA, a past trustee and treasurer of the Community Foundation of Greater Jackson, a past president of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Mississippi, a board member of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, and a graduate of Leadership Jackson. She has also served on the boards of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants and the University Club and on the Finance Commission of The Cathedral Parish of St. Andrews. Betty Lou began her public accounting career in Florida and continues to be licensed there, as well as in Mississippi.
