Cathy Reed is a principal in the Natchez office of Smith, Turner & Reeves. She is a native of El Dorado, Arkansas and earned degrees in mathematics and economics from Louisiana Tech University. She continued her accounting education at the University of Southern Mississippi and Louisiana State University. Cathy has practiced in the Southwest Mississippi area since she joined Gillon & Company, Ltd., the predecessor firm to ST&R, in 1975. She provides tax, accounting, and consulting services to a diverse client base, including specialized work in the medical billing area.
She has previously served the MSCPA as Secretary and Treasurer. She has been a member of various committees, currently serving on the Legislative committee. She was a member of the MSCPA Board of Governors during her tenure as president of the Southwest Chapter. She previously served a five-year term on the Mississippi State Board of Accountancy, holding all officer positions during the term. She attends Parkway Baptist Church, is a member of the Natchez Garden Club, Natchez Downtown Development Association and is an alumnus of the Leadership Natchez program.
