Mike Tatum is a retired tax partner of the Natchez office of Smith, Turner & Reeves. He assisted previously a wide variety of business, individual, estate, trust and non-profit clients with tax, planning and accounting services. Mike has practiced accounting in the Southwest Mississippi area since 1971, mostly with Gillon & Company, Ltd., the predecessor firm to ST&R. Mike continues to be of counsel.
Mike has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants, Secretary and Chairman of the MSCPA Liason Committee To The State Board and as President of the Society's Southwest Chapter. He is also a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and is licensed to practice in Mississippi and Louisiana.
Mike is a Texas native and graduate of Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the Jefferson Street United Methodist Church in Natchez and is active in local business and civic organizations.
